The European Biostasis Foundation is a Basel, Switzerland based foundation dedicated to basic, translational and applied research in the areas of biostasis, cryobiology and biopreservation. The Foundation is focused on state-of-the-art technology and medical practice. Its work is based on a shared mission of preserving life. Its primary goal is to advance research, protecting humans from harm and degradation. With its research facility close to Zurich, the EBF funds, conducts and coordinates research projects in Switzerland, Europe and globally.
The Foundation is set up with a stable and robust governance based on transparency and redundancy and is designed to persist for centuries to come. It is located in Switzerland – one of the most stable and liberal countries globally, both economically and socially – making it the ideal choice.
The Foundation is steered by the Board of Trustees with six members with backgrounds in business, science, medicine and technology. The Board is advised by an Advisory Board and Scientific Council.
